This was our first event at the Merit Industrial Center. It was a perfect day to autocross. We have seven other events scheduled for 2009, see schedule below. While the turn out was low for a first event we did have two new members participating, they were, Sean Grubb and Terry Meier. Terry is a first timer who I am sure will get faster as he gets more seat time. We ran five additional sessions and Terry turned much faster times. Sean Grubb dove David Glenns car and turned the fastest time of the day a 31.195 seconds which caused David some concern.
I have implemented a two second penalty for anyone using DOT approved track tires in an effort to be more fair and balanced. This will become effective August 23, 2009.

Greg Petzet, have you gone to autocross school and not told us!!!  We had one new driver Eli Vardi driving a Boxster, glad you came Eli, good job for your first event, hope you come back. The Clevelands came back with a vengence, great job guys. Randy Kaplin tried out his new Carrea GT and did well, he will be a big threat once he gets some more seat time in that car. He took me for a drive around during the fun runs, this car was absolutely awesome!! Next event is 10/11/09, see you then.

It appears the two second handicap for using DOT approved track tires is working. Great job Greg Petzet!!
There were three new drivers, our President, Jay Jackson, Henry Penix and Rod Nordstrom. Glad you all were able to join us, hope you had a great time!!!  Mike don’t give up we all have lost our way on the course one time or another!
See you all at the next event.

Hey Guys and Gals, we looked long and hard for an autocross site, we found a great location but we are missing drivers! What’s the deal!
Randy is getting a little cocky with his two first places in a row. Lets have a better turn out for our last event of this season on November 8th. His challenge to Jean Kelley about kicking her you know what has apparently fallen on deaf ears.  Jean advised that she knows when to hung up her driving gloves! Hopefully she will be back next year.
Greg Petzet continues to demonstrate that his improved driving is not a fluke. Congratulations also go out to Austin Thomas for his good performance during his first ever auto cross.
Thanks to Christy for manning the timing equipment.

Next event is 11/08/09 see you then.
